Dr. Joseph Anello PT, DPT
I’m Joe Anello, owner and practicing physical therapist at Champion Physical Therapy & Wellness.
I was born and raised in Belleville, NJ, where I grew up playing baseball and wrestling for my hometown. My journey into physical therapy began in high school after a sports injury required me to get surgery. The care and expertise of my physical therapist not only relieved my pain but helped me return to competition quickly. I knew at that moment I wanted to become a physical therapist so I can provide the same experience for my future patients.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from Caldwell University in 2016, followed by my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Kean University in 2019.
In 2020, I founded Champion Physical Therapy & Wellness with a simple goal: to provide patients with exceptional, one-on-one care – something rarely found in traditional physical therapy offices.
My practice is built on truly listening to each patient and identifying the root cause of pain or injury—never relying on generic or pre-set treatment plans. I incorporate advanced neuro-facilitation techniques along with manual therapy and functional strengthening to achieve optimal results as efficiently as possible. I strongly believe in one-on-one, hands-on care to support faster healing and long-lasting recovery.
